Voxtrics vs Qualaroo: an alternative for website surveys
Qualaroo, owned by ProProfs, runs targeted micro-surveys called Nudges on websites and in apps, with heatmaps and session recordings on its Business plan. Voxtrics covers website surveys with a free plan of up to 300 responses a month, paid plans from €15 a month billed annually (€20 month to month), data stored in Finland, and from the Scale plan an automatic page screenshot with every widget response and, in inline and popup surveys, visitors pointing at the page element they mean.
Voxtrics vs Qualaroo at a glance
| Feature | Voxtrics | Qualaroo by ProProfs |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | On-site surveys and website feedback: an embeddable widget, link surveys and email surveys. No analytics suite. | Website and in-app survey tool from ProProfs: targeted micro-surveys (Nudges) on websites, mobile web and in apps, link and email surveys, plus heatmaps and session recordings. |
| Free plan | Yes: Yes, free forever: up to 300 responses a month, 1 user and 5 active surveys. New accounts start with a 30-day Business trial, no card needed. | Yes: Yes: the plan card lists 50 responses, 500 email sends and 10,000 pageviews, and says every Qualaroo feature is included. |
| Entry price | Growth: €15 a month billed annually or €20 month to month, 1,500 responses a month and 2 users. | Business, the first paid plan that lists website Nudges: $49.99 a month billed annually or $69.99 month to month, unlimited responses, 100,000 pageviews and 5,000 email sends a month. Essentials ($19.99 a month billed annually) covers link and email surveys from ProProfs Survey Maker. |
| Survey formats | Yes: Inline in the page, a popup behind a button, a popup that opens on its own, a chat in a corner card, a full-page survey at its own link, and an email survey with one question in the email itself (sending from the Growth plan). | Yes: Slide-in popup Nudge (in a corner or the centre on desktop, can start minimized as a feedback tab), sidebar form, mobile-web Nudge with an optional opt-in screen, link survey, native app surveys, and email surveys and forms. |
| When the survey appears | Yes: In inline, popup and chat surveys: time delay, exit intent (desktop) or returning visitors (one setting, one or the other), scrolled to the end of the page, click on a page element, a cookie, a random share of page loads. When several are on, all must be met. | Yes: On page load, after time on page, exit intent (desktop only), halfway scroll, or a custom property set from your own JavaScript, for example on a click; returning visitors, pages visited, referrer, geolocation, cookies and a share of visitors; once, until answered or every X days. |
| Page rules (show by URL) | No: No page rules: the survey appears on the pages where you add its snippet. | Yes: Yes: simple URLs, subdomains and regular expressions, including exclusions. |
| Feedback on a specific page element | Yes: From the Scale plan, in inline and popup surveys when element selection is on: the visitor points at an element, and the response comes with a page screenshot where it is highlighted. | Partly: A Nudge can open when a visitor clicks an element you choose (set up with a CSS selector and your own JavaScript), which Qualaroo suggests for feedback on specific elements; visitors can also attach a screenshot of a selected area. Pointing at an element inside the survey is not described. |
| Page screenshot with each response | Yes: From the Scale plan (€37 a month billed annually): each widget response comes with an image of the page, rendered on our server from the page's HTML. | Partly: Visitors can capture a selected area of the screen and attach it to a text answer. Not automatic. |
| Languages | Yes: One survey in up to 8 languages. Embedded surveys open in the language set in the embed code (by default, the survey's first language), link surveys follow the browser language, and email surveys go out in the language you pick when sending; an optional switcher lets visitors change it. | Yes: 70+ languages, translated automatically or by hand; the survey follows the page's language tag, with a fallback language. |
| AI features | Partly: From the Scale plan (€37 a month billed annually): AI drafts a survey from a description (except email and chat surveys) and translates it, within the plan's AI credits. No AI analysis of responses. | Yes: AI survey creation from a prompt with an AI chat assistant to edit questions; automatic translation; sentiment, emotion and keyword analysis of English text answers with IBM Watson, listed on the free and Enterprise plan cards (the help center calls it an add-on). |
| Questions and logic | 20 question types, including NPS, matrix, ranking, constant sum and signature; more than 30 templates. Wording can change with earlier rating or scale answers, but there is no skip or branching logic. | 20+ question types, including NPS, star rating, emoji, thumbs, matrix and date; branching on single-choice, NPS and thumbs questions; ready-made SUS, UMUX and SUPR-Q surveys; 100+ templates. |
| Response alerts | Yes: From the Growth plan: Slack, Telegram and email alerts when responses meet a rule you set, such as several low scores within an hour. An alert gives the count, not the answers, and fires at most every 30 minutes. No Microsoft Teams. | Yes: Email for every response, every 10 responses, or a daily or weekly digest; Slack (listed under Enterprise integrations) and Microsoft Teams channels. Telegram is not listed. |
| API and webhooks | Partly: REST API from the Scale plan: read responses (with their screenshots), surveys, domains and alerts, manage team members and send email surveys. No outgoing webhooks. | Yes: REST Reporting API, Design API, callbacks and webhooks on Enterprise; the Identify API for known users on Business. |
| Where data is stored | Responses and page screenshots are stored in Finland (EU), on servers Voxtrics runs itself. All traffic to Voxtrics, survey responses included, passes through Cloudflare (USA); emails, email surveys included, go out through Lettermint (Netherlands); AI features send the survey text you write, never responses, to OpenAI Ireland Ltd., which may pass it on to OpenAI companies in the USA. Voxtrics is a Finnish company. | AWS in the Virginia region (USA); ProProfs transfers personal data from the EU under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. ProProfs, which owns Qualaroo, lists its head office in Santa Monica, California. |
| Heatmaps and session recordings | No: No heatmaps or session recordings. | Yes: Yes: heatmaps and session recordings, listed on the Business plan; integrations with FullStory and SessionCam. |
| Surveys inside mobile apps | No: No mobile SDK. Link and email surveys open in mobile browsers. | Yes: Native iOS and Android SDKs; the pricing page lists the iOS and Android SDK on the free plan card and on Enterprise, and its Business card mentions in-app Nudges. |
| Integrations | Partly: Few: Slack, Telegram and email alerts from the Growth plan, Excel (XLSX) export, a REST API from the Scale plan, and from the Business plan a Jira Cloud integration that creates an issue from a response. Install with a script, an npm package, a WordPress plugin or guides for Wix, Webflow, Squarespace and Tilda. No CRM integrations or Zapier. | Yes: Mailchimp and other email tools on Business; Salesforce, HubSpot, Segment, Tableau and Slack on Enterprise; also Zapier, Intercom, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Marketo and webhooks. |
“Partly” means the feature is covered only in part; the cell says which. “Not described” means the vendor's public documentation did not describe the feature on October 14, 2026. It does not necessarily mean the feature is missing.
